When a gym is the better fit

If you're an experienced lifter chasing heavy one-rep maxes, or you want machines and a social gym floor, a gym is a better fit and we'll tell you so. For most people who want to get stronger, fitter and stay consistent, a trainer at home removes the biggest obstacle: getting there.

Questions

Is a home trainer as effective as a gym?

For most goals, yes. Strength comes from progressively harder work, not from machines. Your trainer adds load, reps or tempo on schedule and retests you every 4 weeks.

Is it more expensive than a gym?

Plans start at ₹4,000 a month for 8 one-on-one sessions, with the trainer and equipment included. Compare that with a gym membership plus personal training on top.

Do I need any equipment?

No. Your trainer brings everything the session needs. Loads go up to 10 kg, and past that your trainer uses reps, tempo and single-arm or single-leg work to keep it challenging.

How much space do I need?

About 2 m × 2 m of clear floor, roughly the size of a yoga mat with room to step around it. A living room, bedroom, terrace or your society's common area (where allowed) all work.
